Everything went according to plan in Surgut where fifth ranked Novosybirsk (11-6) outscored 11th ranked Universitet-Yugra (6-11) 86-64. Novosybirsk dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Universitet-Yugra's 24 and made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Universitet-Yugra 45-34 including 31 on the defensive glass.
