Rather expected game when 16th ranked Zenit-Farm (1-17) was smashed by fourteenth ranked Kupol-Rodniki (6-12) in Izhevsk 100-78. Kupol-Rodniki players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Igor Samsonov (202-89) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. The former international Ivan Rusetskiy (198-93) chipped in 20 points. Guard Konstantin Shevchuk (192-0, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Alexander Stulenkov (205-92, agency: Alti Sport) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Zenit-Farm players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kupol-Rodniki moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with CSKA 2 and MBA Moscow. Zenit-Farm lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 17 lost games. Kupol-Rodniki's next round opponent will be higher ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (#4) in Sankt Petersburg and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
