Regular Season Round 10: ENAD - Keravnos 39-90

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nicosia: Keravnos (#1) and ENAD (#7). ENAD was smashed at home by 51 points 39-90 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Keravnos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ENAD to just 6 points in first quarter and to 14 points in first half. Keravnos held ENAD to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Keravnos forced 27 ENAD turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by ENAD's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Antria Pitsilidou (167-89) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. International center Sophia Theologou (190-88) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Keravnos' coach Christos Stylianidis felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Charalambia Kalianou (170-99) replied with 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Constantina Kouzali (170-95) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for ENAD. Keravnos (10-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. ENAD at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Keravnos are looking forward to face Aris (#6) in Limassol in the next round where they are favorite. ENAD will play on the road against Anagennises in Limassol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
