Regular Season Round 12: Dynamo K. - MBA 73-70

Fifth-ranked MBA (5-6) gave a tough game to second ranked Dynamo Kursk (11-1) on Sunday. Dynamo Kursk managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of MBA. Dynamo Kursk forced 22 MBA turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish point guard Anna Cruz (173-86, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Spanish point guard Marta Xargay-Casademont (181-90) who added 15 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Karina Nizamova (170-92) with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Alexandra Stolyar (180-92) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. MBA's coach Aleksandr Diracujan rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dynamo Kursk have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-1 record behind leader UMMC. MBA at the other side dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Dynamo Kursk are looking forward to face Nadezhda Orenburg (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. MBA's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Moscow Dynamo Moscow.
