Bottom-ranked Dynamo Moscow (0-13) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-53 loss to sixth ranked MBA (6-6) in Moscow. MBA outrebounded Dynamo Moscow 44-25 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international point guard Karina Nizamova (170-92) nailed 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Ekaterina Sytnyak (185-82, agency: LBM Management) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds. Five MBA players scored in double figures. Natalya Potemina (185-88) came up with 13 points and 6 rebounds and center Aleksandra Varaksina (190-93) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Dynamo Moscow in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MBA moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sparta&K MR. Dynamo Moscow lost their twelfth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost. MBA's next round opponent will be Inventa (#6) in Kursk. Dynamo Moscow will play at home against Nadezhda Orenburg (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
