Regular Season Round 17: JP-Auto JKSE - Alba 79-74
Date: January 26, 2019
Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Alba (6-11) lost to third ranked JP-Auto JKSE (12-5) in Jaszberenyi 74-79 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. JP-Auto JKSE made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. American point guard Damier Pitts (177-89, college: Marshall, agency: Inception Sports) nailed 22 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Serbian guard Miljan Rakic (195-86) accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Pitts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five JP-Auto JKSE players scored in double figures. The former international forward Marko Filipovity (204-96) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and the former international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Alba in the defeat. JP-Auto JKSE have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kormend. Loser Alba keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. JP-Auto JKSE will meet at home PVSK-Veolia (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Alba will play against TF Budapest (#14) and hope to secure a win.
