Eighth-ranked Lugano Tigers (6-9) gave a tough game to third ranked Neuchatel (11-5). The visitors from Neuchatel managed to secure only two-point victory 97-95. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lugano Tigers. Neuchatel players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American point guard Brandon Brown (180-91, college: Loyola Mary) nailed 26 points and 6 assists for the winning side and the former international forward Westher Molteni (200-87) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Xavier Pollard (193-91, college: Kent St.) came up with 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import center Nolan Berry (208-94, college: Maryville, MO) added 23 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Lugano Tigers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neuchatel have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 11-5 record having just two points less than leader Geneve Lions, which they share with Massagno. Lugano Tigers at the other side keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Neuchatel will play against league's leader Geneve Lions at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lugano Tigers will play against Massagno (#4) and hope to get back on the winning track.
