The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Parma-2's (4-23) road loss to ninth ranked Spartak SP-2 (9-16) 39-63. The game was mostly controlled by Spartak SP-2. Parma-2 was better in third quarter 16-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Parma-2 to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Spartak SP-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Parma-2's 20. Spartak SP-2 forced 26 Parma-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 42-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for forward Grigoriy Komisarenko (198-98) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Center Serafim Ashin (204-98) accounted for 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Spartak SP-2's coach Nikolay Shmanov felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Ilya Arantsev (191-1) came up with 14 points and Dmitrii Dolmatov added 9 points respectively for Parma-2 in the defeat. Spartak SP-2 have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain ninth place with 9-16 record. Parma-2 lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 23 games lost. Spartak SP-2 will again play against Parma-2 (#10) in Perm in the next round. Parma-2 will have a break next round.
