Regular Season Round 31: Runa Basket - Dynamo-MGTU 104-90

Very predictable result in Moscow where third ranked Runa Basket (20-7) defeated 9th ranked Dynamo-MGTU (11-16) 104-90. Runa Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for forward Andrey Semenov (200-90, college: JMU) who led the winners and scored 51 points (!!!) and 4 steals. The former international power forward Artem Pisarchuk (205-92) accounted for 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Runa Basket's coach Jovan Popovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Ukrainian center Nikolay Eremin (205-85) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Artem Gaposhin (184-91) added 27 points (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for Dynamo-MGTU in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Runa Basket maintains third place with 20-7 record having just three points less than leader Ufimets Ufa. Dynamo-MGTU lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 16 games lost. Runa Basket will again play against Dynamo-MGTU (#10) in Maykop in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dynamo-MGTU will have a break next round.
