A Division top team - Sopron Basket (17-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked MTK (1-15) in Budapest 83-64. Sopron Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Serbian power forward Tina Jovanovic (192-91) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international Debora Dubei (183-97) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Sopron Basket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Janka Hegedus (185-94, college: FIU) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Noemi Czirjak (179-93) scored 7 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sopron Basket have an impressive 17-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-0 record. MTK lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Sopron Basket will play against NKE-Csata (#7) in Budapest in the next round where they are favorite.
