PBL top team - UMMC Ekaterinburg (15-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked MBA (6-8) in Moscow 85-48. UMMC Ekaterinburg held MBA to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.1 percent accuracy of the winners and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. UMMC Ekaterinburg outrebounded MBA 62-28 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for Bahamas center Jonquel Jones (198-94, college: G.Washington) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Spanish swingman Alba Torrens (188-89) accounted for 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. The former international center Anastasia Logunova (192-90, agency: LBM Management) came up with 10 points and 4 assists and point guard Maria Toropova (167-87) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for MBA in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-0 record. MBA at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Sparta&K MR. UMMC Ekaterinburg will play against Enisey Krasnoyarsk (#4) at home in the next round.
