Regular Season Round 26: TEMP-SUMZ-UMMC - Uralmash 68-76

The most important game in the last round took place in Revda between third ranked Temp (16-7) and tenth ranked Uralmash (11-12) on Wednesday night. Temp was defeated by Uralmash in a tough game at home 68-76. Uralmash dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Temp's 34 and made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Uralmash forced 19 Temp turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 24 on the defensive glass. Point guard Igor Novikov (192-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Andrey Loginov (204-93) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Maksim Polyakov (205-84, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Uzbekistani center Sergey Karaulov (214-82) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Temp. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Uralmash moved-up to ninth place. Temp at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Spartak SP. Uralmash's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ekaterinburg Ural Ekaterinburg.
