A very interesting game took place in Budapest. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Cegledi EKK (4-13) to eighth ranked Vasas Akademia (5-12) 64-63 in the fight for the eighth place. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Reka Dombai (179-2) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Aliz Varga (183-1) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Serbian point guard Jovana Popovic (173-90) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Ketia Swanier (170-86, college: Connecticut) added 14 points and 4 steals in the effort for Cegledi EKK. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Vasas Akademia maintains eighth place with 5-12 record. Cegledi EKK at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Vasas Akademia's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Miskolc on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cegledi EKK will play against BEAC-Ujbuda (#11) in Budapest and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
