Regular Season Round 19: ZTE NKK - PEAC-Pecs 81-91

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Zalaegerszeg where 4th placed ZTE NKK (12-6) was defeated by fifth ranked PEAC-Pecs (12-6) 91-81. PEAC-Pecs shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Alyssia Brewer (190-90, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Nigerian forward Sarah Imovbioh (188-92, college: S.Carolina) contributed with 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Greek Evanthia Maltsi (180-78, agency: ProDep Management) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Dora Horti (193-87) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for ZTE NKK. Four PEAC-Pecs and five ZTE NKK players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for PEAC-Pecs. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated ZTE NKK. PEAC-Pecs' next round opponent will be league's leader Sopron Basket at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ZTE NKK will play against NKE-Csata in Budapest and hope to win that game.
