Regular Season Round 17: Spartak N. - MBA 49-79
Date: February 25, 2019
Very predictable result when fourth ranked MBA (9-8) rolled over on the road 9th ranked Spartak Noginsk (2-15) 79-49. The best player for the winners was Varvara Psareva (192-85) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International Anna Leshovceva (181-87) chipped in 19 points. The former international forward Kristina Alikina (187-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and forward Marina Krivolapova (181-86) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for MBA. They maintain fourth place with 9-8 record, which they share with Inventa. Spartak Noginsk at the other side keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost. MBA's next round opponent will be Dynamo NR (#8) in Novosibirsk. Spartak Noginsk will play on the road against Nadezhda Orenburg and hope to win that game.
