Regular Season Round 31: Khimki-2 - Enisey-2 88-63

Leader Khimki-2 delivered the twenty ninth victory. This time they crushed 11th ranked Enisey-2 (5-31) 88-63. The game was mostly controlled by Khimki-2. Enisey-2 was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Khimki-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 30. They outrebounded Enisey-2 39-16 including a 30-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Khimki-2 players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Dmitrii Kadoshnikov (204-1) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. Ilya Demin (195-1) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Khimki-2's coach Alexander Gerasimov felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Danil Dergachev (185-98) answered with 15 points and swingman Vladislav Afanasiev (191-99) added 12 points in the effort for Enisey-2. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Khimki-2 maintains first place with 29-9 record. Enisey-2 lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 31 lost games. Khimki-2 will again play against bottom-ranked Enisey-2 (#11) in Krasnoyarsk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Enisey-2 will have a break next round.
