A very interesting game took place in Moscow. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Universitet-Yugra (13-16) to thirteenth ranked MBA Moscow (9-19) 102-101 on Thursday evening. MBA Moscow made 23-of-25 charity shots (92.0 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for Pavel Afanasiev (201-96) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Dmitry Korshakov (201-91) accounted for 30 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side. Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: Alti Sport) came up with 36 points (!!!) and 6 assists and American guard Kahlil Dukes (183-95, college: Niagara) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for Universitet-Yugra in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. MBA Moscow maintains thirteenth place with 9-19 record. Universitet-Yugra at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 16 games lost. MBA Moscow's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ural Ekaterinburg (#6) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
