Regular Season Round 43: Dynamo-MGTU - Lok.Kuban KRS 63-70

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Dynamo-MGTU (15-21) lost to tenth ranked Lok.Kuban KRS (15-21) in Maykop 63-70. Lok.Kuban KRS outrebounded Dynamo-MGTU 36-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for center Valeriy Kalinov (210-99) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Khasan Kipkeev helped adding 15 points. Lok.Kuban KRS's coach Roman Semerinov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side guard Maksim Abyzov (191-90) responded with 23 points and forward Ruslan Khakunov (192-90) scored 18 points. Lok.Kuban KRS moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Dynamo-MGTU and Neftekhimik T. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
