We should mention about the upset which took place in Szekesfehervar, where 9th ranked Alba (11-13) was outleveled at home by twelfth ranked Sopron KC (11-14) 87-65 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Alba. Sopron KC made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Strangely Alba outrebounded Sopron KC 42-29 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Angelo Warner (188-92, college: Morehead St.) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. His fellow American import forward Wesley Gordon (206-94, college: Colorado) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward Marko Filipovity (204-96) produced 15 points and the former international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Sopron KC moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Kaposvari. Loser Alba keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Sopron KC will face Szedeak (#13) in Szeged in the next round.
