Second Stage Round 3: Alba - Szedeak 68-75

There was a minor upset when Alba (13-15) lost to Szedeak (8-20) in Szekesfehervar 68-75. Szedeak players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Aleksandar Ponjavic (198-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. The former international power forward Levente Juhos (208-91, college: Moberly Area CC) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Brandon Peterson (203-90, college: Arkansas St., agency: Inception Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Martin Zeno (196-85, college: Texas Tech) added 16 points respectively. Alba's coach Jesus Ramirez rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Szedeak's next round opponent will be TF Budapest (#14) on the road. Alba will play against Kaposvari (#11) and hope to win that game.
