Second Stage Round 8: Szedeak - Alba 70-64

There was a minor upset in Szekesfehervar where 11th ranked Alba (15-17) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Szedeak (10-21) 70-64. Szedeak players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The winners were led by Serbian center Nenad Sulovic (202-85, agency: BeoBasket) who scored that evening 13 points and 4 assists and Serbian guard Marko Boltic (193-87, agency: 011 Sports) supported him with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Szedeak's coach Andjelko Mandic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by guard Peter Toth (201-88) did not help to save the game for Alba. American power forward Brandon Peterson (203-90, college: Arkansas St., agency: Inception Sports) added 9 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Szedeak maintains thirteenth position with 10-21 record. Alba at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 17 games lost. Szedeak's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked TF Budapest (#14) at home.
