Regular Season Round 1: MBA-2 - CSKA Junior 62-77

No shocking result in a game in Moscow where CSKA Junior (2-0) defeated MBA-2 (2-2) 77-62 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by CSKA Junior. MBA-2 was better in third quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded MBA-2 42-23 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. CSKA Junior looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Alexander Maltsev (200-2) fired 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Danila Pohodyaev (201-1, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Maksim Lichutin (189-0) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Maxim Kuzemkin (198-2) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CSKA Junior will face Spartak-Prim.-2 (#5) in Vladivostok in the next round.
