Regular Season Round 4: Sopron KC - ZTE KK 78-85

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Sopron KC (1-3) was defeated at home by eighth ranked ZTE KK (2-1) 85-78. ZTE KK outrebounded Sopron KC 43-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for American guard Reginald Johnson (191-94, college: Hampton) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Zsolt Szabo (204-86) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. ZTE KK's coach Tamas Bencze used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Eric Carter (206-95, college: Delaware) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Bernard Thompson (191-93, college: FGCU) added 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Sopron KC. ZTE KK moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Falco-Vulcano. Sopron KC lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. ZTE KK's next round opponent will be Szolnok (#8) at home. Sopron KC will play against Kaposvari and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
