Regular Season Round 5: Sparta&K MR - Dynamo NR 88-79

Bottom-ranked Dynamo NR (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 88-79 loss to fourth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (3-2) in Vidnoye. It was a great shooting night for Spartak Vidnoye especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. American forward Morgan Bertsch (193, college: UC Davis, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Her fellow American import guard Paris Kea (175, college: UNC, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Spartak Vidnoye players scored in double figures. Canadian Jamie Weisner-Scott (178-94, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) answered with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian center Ruth Hamblin (198-94, college: Oregon St.) added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Dynamo NR. Spartak Vidnoye maintains fourth place with 3-2 record. Dynamo NR at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Spartak Vidnoye will play against league's second-placed UMMC Ekaterinburg at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dynamo NR will play against Nadezhda Orenburg (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
