Superleague 1 top team - BC Rostov (4-0) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (0-4) in Sankt Petersburg 77-61. BC Rostov dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak St.Petersburg's 24. They outrebounded Spartak St.Petersburg 42-28 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Anna Zaitseva (183-99) fired 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Alexandra Kirina (190-96) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Natalya Bukur (183-93) produced 16 points and power forward Daria Polnikova (188-94) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BC Rostov have a solid four-game winning streak. BC Rostov maintains first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Kazanochka. Newly promoted Spartak St.Petersburg still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Chevakata and UMMC Junior. BC Rostov will meet at home Vologda-Chevakata (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spartak St.Petersburg will play against Sparta&K-2 V in Vidnoye and hopes to get finally their first victory.
