Regular Season Round 3: Kupol-Rodniki - Ufimets Ufa 89-88

Important game to mention about took place in Izhevsk. Kupol-Rodniki (3-0) saved a 1-point victory at home edging Ufimets Ufa (1-2) 89-88 on Wednesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Strangely Ufimets Ufa outrebounded Kupol-Rodniki 38-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. Ufimets Ufa was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for center Ievgen Minchenko (213-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Sergey Chernov (185-86) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was point guard Gleb Gerasimenko (182-88) with 21 points and 5 assists and center Mikhail Kautin (213-86) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Kupol-Rodniki and four Ufimets Ufa players scored in double figures. Ufimets Ufa's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kupol-Rodniki will play against Samara at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ufimets Ufa will play against CSKA 2 (#14) in Moscow to get more than just one victory in their record.
