Regular Season Round 4: MBA Moscow - Univ.Surgut 79-73

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Universitet-Yugra (1-3) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked MBA Moscow (3-1) 79-73 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. MBA Moscow looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Andrey Sopin (186-97) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and power forward Alexei Kuznetsov (205-84) who added 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four MBA Moscow players scored in double figures. MBA Moscow's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: Alti Sport) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and the former international power forward Artem Pisarchuk (205-92) scored 8 points and 14 rebounds. MBA Moscow have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Universitet-Yugra keeps the tenth position with three games lost. MBA Moscow will face Vostok-65 (#9) in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Universitet-Yugra will play at home against Ufimets Ufa and hope to win that game.
