Another exciting game for Neuchatel (4-1) which played on the court of Monthey (3-2). Third ranked Neuchatel saved the game by a tiny margin of one point 70-69. Neuchatel made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Naturalized Dominican point guard Bryan Colon (181-92) stepped up and scored 26 points for the winners and American power forward James Padgett (203-91, college: Maryland) chipped in 10 points and 14 rebounds. Serbian center Milos Jankovic (206-94) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Chad Timberlake (193-84, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: BeoBasket) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Neuchatel. They maintain third place with 4-1 record behind leader Fribourg, which they share with Pully. Monthey at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Neuchatel will play against Vevey Riviera (#6) on the road in the next round. Monthey will play against Boncourt and hopes to get back on the winning track.
