Regular Season Round 6: PEAC-Pecs - ZTE NKK 79-73

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked ZTE NKK (2-4) lost on the road to ninth ranked PEAC-Pecs (2-4) 79-73. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Ukrainian center Taisia Udodenko (191-89) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Senegalese point guard Bintou Dieme-Marizy (164-84) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Four PEAC-Pecs players scored in double figures. PEAC-Pecs' coach Robert Meszlenyi used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Keyona Hayes (188-94, college: Miami, FL) who recorded 30 points and 9 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Kirby Burkholder (183-92, college: JMU, agency: Interperformances) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. PEAC-Pecs moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated ZTE NKK. ZTE NKK lost third consecutive game. PEAC-Pecs' next round opponent will be higher ranked NKE-Csata (#5) in Budapest and it may be quite challenging game.
