The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Arsenal as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Arsenal smashed 5th ranked Neftekhimik T. in Tula 89-66. Arsenal dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Neftekhimik T.'s 28. They outrebounded Neftekhimik T. 45-30 including 16 on the offensive glass.
