Top-ranked Apollon (3-0) crushed at home 6th ranked APOP (1-3) by 26 points 81-55, which is the biggest margin this round. The game was mostly controlled by Apollon. APOP was better in second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Apollon forced 21 APOP turnovers. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a very good performance for guard Liam O'Reilly (188-96, college: Gardner-Webb) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Apollon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. APOP lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Apollon's next round opponent will be Etha (#8) in Nicosia where they are favorite. APOP will play at home against E.N. Paralimni and hope to win that game.
