Very expected game when 7th ranked DEAC (3-3) lost to top-ranked PVSK-Veolia (5-0) in Pecs 76-88 on Saturday. American guard Christopher Smith (193-94, college: Utah St.) notched 24 points and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) to lead the effort and Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (198-80) supported him with 20 points. Even a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds by the former international power forward Adam Toth (206-89) did not help to save the game for DEAC. Montenegrin swingman Milos Borisov (201-85) added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four DEAC players scored in double figures. DEAC's coach Adrian Kovacs rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. PVSK-Veolia have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Falco-Vulcano. DEAC lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with Alba. PVSK-Veolia will meet ZTE KK (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. DEAC will play against Szedeak in Szeged and hope to secure a win.
