Regular Season Round 7: Atomeromu - TFSE-MTK 81-79

Very important is a road loss of TFSE-MTK (3-3) against fifth ranked Atomeromu (5-2) on Saturday night. Visiting TFSE-MTK was edged by Atomeromu in a tough game in Szekszard 79-81. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to TFSE-MTK's 30. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian Ivana Dojkic (180-97, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 assists. American forward Erica McCall (190-95, college: Stanford) accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Atomeromu's coach Zeljko Djokic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American point guard Chanise Jenkins (165-92, college: DePaul, agency: LBM Management) came up with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Reka Bernath (179-97) added 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for TFSE-MTK in the defeat. Four TFSE-MTK players scored in double figures. Atomeromu moved-up to second place, which they share with Miskolc and UNI Gyor. Newly promoted TFSE-MTK dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Atomeromu will play against BEAC-Ujbuda (#11) in Budapest in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TFSE-MTK will play at home against UNI Gyor (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
