Regular Season Round 8: Rostov - MBA-2 100-84

Undefeated leader BC Rostov delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they beat 8th ranked MBA-2 (2-6) 100-84. BC Rostov dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to MBA-2's 42 and made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game. BC Rostov forced 22 MBA-2 turnovers. BC Rostov players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by power forward Anna Zaitseva (183-99) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and power forward Ekaterina Gunchenko (183-98, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 16 points and 4 assists. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by forward Pozdnyakova Anna (181-0) did not help to save the game for MBA-2. Center Vera Kuchina (195-0) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. MBA-2's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. BC Rostov (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. BC Rostov maintains first position with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. MBA-2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with six games lost. BC Rostov's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Nika in Syktyvkar and it will be for sure the game of the week. MBA-2 will play at home against UMMC Junior (#12) and hope to win that game.
