There was a minor upset in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk where higher ranked MBA Moscow (3-2) was crushed by ninth ranked Vostok-65 (3-2) 85-57 on Monday. Vostok-65 made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 MBA Moscow turnovers. MBA Moscow was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Jabril Durham (185-94, college: Arkansas) who scored 17 points and 5 assists. The former international forward Nikita Balashov (207-91, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Dmitry Korshakov (201-91) produced 9 points and 7 rebounds and forward Nikita Barinov (203-91) added 9 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Vostok-65 moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated MBA Moscow. Vostok-65 will face bottom-ranked Khimky-Podmoskoye (#16) in Khimki in the next round which should be another easy win for them. MBA Moscow will play on the road against the league's second-placed Spartak-Prim. (#2) in Vladivostok and hope to win that game.
