Regular Season Round 7: Khimki-2 - Zenit-2 78-75

The most exciting game of round 7 in the VTB-Youth League took place in Khimki. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Zenit-2 (4-4) to fourth ranked Khimki-2 (6-2) 78-75 on Tuesday evening. Zenit-2 was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Center Dmitrii Karbusov (205-99) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Center Vladislav Sharapov (205-99) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Ivan Belousov (191-1) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and forward Nikita Soldatov (200-99) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Khimki-2 have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Samara-2 and N.Novgorod-2. Zenit-2 at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Khimki-2 is looking forward to face Samara-2 (#4) on the road in the next round. Zenit-2 will play against Spartak-Prim.-2 and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
