Regular Season Round 8: Swiss Central - Pully 76-80
Date: November 16, 2019
Bottom-ranked Swiss Central is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to fifth ranked Pully (5-3) 80-76 on Saturday evening. Pully forced 28 Swiss Central turnovers. The winners were led by American point guard Antwoine Anderson (184-95, college: Connecticut) who scored that evening 21 points and the other American import guard Mike Laster (196-96, college: Ohio) supported him with 19 points. Five Pully players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 27 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by Cameroonian forward Harding NaNa (203-81, college: Delaware) did not help to save the game for Swiss Central. Lithuanian guard Laurynas Samenas (192-88) added 26 points for the hosts. Pully moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Monthey. Loser Swiss Central still closes the standings with eight games lost. Pully will meet at home higher ranked Geneve Lions (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Swiss Central will play against Boncourt (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
