An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kursk. Top-ranked Dynamo Kursk faced 4th ranked MBA. Host Dynamo Kursk (7-0) smashed guests from Moscow (3-2) 98-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of MBA. Dynamo Kursk dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to MBA's 26. Dynamo Kursk forced 20 MBA turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Dynamo Kursk brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American guard DeWanna Bonner (193-87, college: Auburn) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points and 14 rebounds. The former international center Natalia Anoikina (196-87) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Dynamo Kursk players scored in double figures. Center Nina Glonti (188-97) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Liudmila Sapova (188-84) added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for MBA. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dynamo Kursk have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. MBA at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost. Dynamo Kursk will play against league's second-placed UMMC Ekaterinburg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MBA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Moscow to the arena Dynamo Moscow.
