Regular Season Round 9: Kormend - JP-Auto JKSE 87-53
Date: November 23, 2019
Bottom-ranked JP-Auto JKSE is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to third ranked Kormend (7-2) 87-53 on Saturday evening. Kormend made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game, while JP-Auto JKSE only scored eight points from the stripe. Kormend forced 25 JP-Auto JKSE turnovers. American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Canadian guard Justin Edwards (194-92, college: Kansas St.) accounted for 18 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Five Kormend players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Nemanja Aleksandrov (210-87) came up with 17 points and guard Bence Buzas (193-97) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for JP-Auto JKSE in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kormend moved-up to second place, which they share with Atomeromu. JP-Auto JKSE lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. Kormend will meet at home league's leader Falco-Vulcano in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JP-Auto JKSE will play against DEAC (#8) in Debrecen and hopes to get finally their first victory.
