Regular Season Round 9: Sopron KC - Atomeromu 80-82

Twelfth-ranked Sopron KC (1-7) used its home court advantage to challenge fourth ranked Atomeromu (7-2) on Saturday. The visitors from Paks managed to secure only two-point victory 82-80. However their fans expected much easier game. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Orlando Coleman (196-92, college: Texas Southern) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Shannon Evans-II (185-94, college: ASU) contributed with 23 points and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Bernard Thompson (191-93, college: FGCU) answered with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Demetre Rivers (203-95, college: Mercer) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sopron KC. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Atomeromu. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kormend. Sopron KC lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with seven games lost. Atomeromu will face Szolnok (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sopron KC will play against PVSK-Veolia (#4) in Pecs and hope to win that game.
