Regular Season Round 11: Kupol-Rodniki - MBA Moscow 90-78

There was no surprise in Izhevsk where 8th ranked MBA Moscow (5-5) was defeated by fourth ranked Kupol-Rodniki (7-3) 90-78 on Saturday. Kupol-Rodniki made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 MBA Moscow turnovers. It was a great evening for swingman Maksim Chislov (198-93, agency: Alti Sport) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. Center Ievgen Minchenko (213-94) helped adding 18 points and 10 rebounds. International point guard Andrey Sopin (186-97) responded with 28 points and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and power forward Alexei Kuznetsov (205-84) scored 12 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. MBA Moscow's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kupol-Rodniki moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser MBA Moscow dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Kupol-Rodniki will meet Universitet-Yugra (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. MBA Moscow will have a break next round.
