American point guard Phil Taylor (178-91, college: Shorter) came up with 17 points and the other American import forward Anthony Stover (208-90, college: UCLA) added 6 points respectively for APOP in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for AEK Larnaca. They maintain second place with 7-1 record behind leader Keravnos. APOP lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. AEK Larnaca will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. APOP will play against the league's leader Keravnos (#1) and hope to win that game.
