Very important is a road loss of third ranked N.Novgorod-2 (12-6) against fifth ranked Avtodor-2 (10-8) on Saturday night. Visiting N.Novgorod-2 was defeated by Avtodor-2 in a tough game in Saratov 83-88. Avtodor-2 made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Vadim Novikovskii (207-0) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and guard Vadim Kharisov (191-0) who added 24 points (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) during the contest. Avtodor-2's coach Vladimir Antsiferov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side forward Yegor Chepik (197-0) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Artem Orekhov (191-2) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Avtodor-2 maintains fifth position with 10-8 record. Loser N.Novgorod-2 keeps the third place with six games lost. Avtodor-2 will meet at home Unics-2 (#6) in the next round. N.Novgorod-2 will play against the league's second-placed Samara-2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
