Regular Season Round 10: ZTE KK - Kormend 82-76

The most important game in the last round took place in Zalaegerszeg between second ranked Kormend (7-3) and eleventh ranked ZTE KK (4-5) on Saturday night. Kormend was defeated by ZTE KK in a tough game on the road 76-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kormend. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when ZTE KK made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian Andriy Agafonov (208-86) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) and the former international forward Zsolt Szabo (204-86) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Canadian guard Justin Edwards (194-92, college: Kansas St.) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ZTE KK moved-up to ninth place. Kormend at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. ZTE KK are looking forward to face higher ranked DEAC (#8) in Debrecen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kormend will play at home against Kaposvari (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
