Regular Season Round 10: BEAC Ujbuda - ZTE NKK 71-94

Date: December 7, 2019
Rather predictable result in Budapest where eighth ranked ZTE NKK (5-5) smashed 11th ranked BEAC-Ujbuda (1-9) 94-71 on Saturday. ZTE NKK made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. ZTE NKK outrebounded BEAC-Ujbuda 38-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American forward Keyona Hayes (188-94, college: Miami, FL) scored 25 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Kirby Burkholder (183-92, college: JMU) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five ZTE NKK players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international guard Anna Lakloth (181-88) responded with 18 points and 6 assists and swingman Alma Galantai (174-2) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. ZTE NKK have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with PEAC-Pecs. BEAC-Ujbuda lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. ZTE NKK will face Vasas Akademia (#10) in Budapest in the next round. BEAC-Ujbuda's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Budapest TFSE-MTK.
