Rather predictable result in Moscow where fifth ranked MBA (5-2) defeated 7th ranked Dynamo NR (2-5) 90-73. MBA forced 19 Dynamo NR turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international Ekaterina Fedorenkova (178-93) notched 19 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and Varvara Psareva (192-85) supported her with 13 points and 6 rebounds. MBA's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points and 5 assists (made all of her seven free throws) by Canadian Jamie Weisner-Scott (178-94, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Dynamo NR. Canadian center Ruth Hamblin (198-94, college: Oregon St.) added 11 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. MBA moved-up to fourth place.
