Regular Season Round 13: Univ.Surgut - CSKA 2 87-80

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Surgut where 13th ranked CSKA 2 (4-8) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Universitet-Yugra (4-8) 87-80 on Wednesday. CSKA 2 was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Andre Walker (185-96, college: Loyola, MD, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 25 points. At the losing side center Kirill Mikheev (213-98) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and forward Daniil Kochergin (208-99, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Universitet-Yugra moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Spartak SP and CSKA 2. Universitet-Yugra will face higher ranked Runa Basket (#7) in Moscow in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
