Regular Season Round 11: Atomeromu - UNI Gyor 102-69

Rather expected game in Szekszard where 6th ranked UNI Gyor (6-5) was rolled over by third ranked Atomeromu (8-3) 102-69 on Saturday. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to UNI Gyor's 36 and made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded UNI Gyor 32-15. Atomeromu looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Croatian Ivana Dojkic (180-97, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 assists. Naturalized Serbian center Sara Krnjic (191-91) helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Spanish point guard Sandra Ygueravide (172-84) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and Slovakian power forward Zofia Hruscakova (190-95) scored 12 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Atomeromu maintains third place with 8-3 record behind leader Sopron Basket. Loser UNI Gyor keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with ZTE NKK. Atomeromu will meet ZTE NKK (#6) in the next round. UNI Gyor will play against Vasas Akademia in Budapest and hope to secure a win.
