Regular Season Round 11: Keravnos - Etha 77-54

Undefeated leader Keravnos delivered the tenth consecutive win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Etha (4-6) 77-54 in Strovolos. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Etha. The game was mostly controlled by Keravnos. Etha managed to win second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Josh Hagins (185-94, college: UALR, agency: Haylett Sports) who scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Jake OBrien (206-89, college: Temple, agency: HMS) chipped in 18 points. Four Keravnos players scored in double figures. Center Damontre Harris (208-91, college: Campbellsville) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Jeremy Smith (190-95, college: Nicholls St.) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Keravnos (10-0) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. Etha at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Keravnos are looking forward to face league's second-placed AEK Larnaca on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Etha will play against Apoel (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
