We should mention about the upset which took place in Sopron, where higher ranked Alba (7-6) lost to twelfth ranked Sopron KC (4-9) in a road game 82-88. Sopron KC made 30-of-39 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game, while Alba only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Alba was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Eric Carter (206-95, college: Delaware) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Demetre Rivers (203-95, college: Mercer) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Serbian guard Marko Ljubicic (195-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and international point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for Alba. Four Sopron KC and five Alba players scored in double figures. Alba's coach Jesus Ramirez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
